Upi live in france: According to the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), the country's popular UPI (Unified Payments Interface) has now started in France also. It is starting with the famous Eiffel Tower in Paris, which has become the first merchant to accept UPI in France.
It is expected that soon other traders in tourism and retail sectors will also be connected to UPI.
With this, Indian tourists will be able to make online payments easily using UPI linked apps. They simply have to scan the QR code generated on the merchant's website and start payment.
NPCI International Payments Limited has partnered with French company Lyra to make UPI available in France. This company provides e-commerce and proximity payment services.
This announcement was made by the Indian Embassy in Paris on the occasion of India's Republic Day celebrations. Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced during his visit to France that UPI payments will start from the Eiffel Tower.
With the launch of UPI in France, it becomes another country where the Indian payment system has been adopted. Earlier, India has also signed similar agreements with Singapore, Bhutan, Nepal, United Arab Emirates and Malaysia.
This news is a matter of great relief for Indian tourists. Now they will not have to worry about exchanging foreign currency or carrying cash while traveling in France. Making payment through UPI will be easy, secure and fast. It is expected that in the coming time, the scope of UPI in France will increase further and Indian tourists will get more facilities.
