Scientific Reason Behind Blind Love

Scientific Reason Behind Blind Love

Scientists have discovered why love is blind, how the mind is intoxicated

Australian scientists have found out why love is blind. What is the reason that people are willing to go through anything for love? Why does his mind become intoxicated when he gets true love?

A team of scientists investigated the relationship between the human brain's behavioral activation system (BAS) and romantic love and discovered "why love is blind". Until now, people knew that romantic love changes the mind of a person. When a person falls in love, the body releases oxytocin, the love hormone. It arouses enthusiasm in a person, he feels happy. Now, scientists from the Australian National University (ANU), the University of Canberra and the University of South Australia have measured how a part of the brain is responsible for romance and love.

The mind works differently when in love

This research of Australian scientists has been published in the Journal of Behavioral Sciences. During the research, scientists surveyed 1,556 young people who were in love. During the survey, attention was paid to how emotionally connected the young people who fell in love were with their partner. How they behave in the presence of their partner. Research has shown that when we are in love, our brains react differently. Our mind makes the person we love the center of our life.

Romantic love emerged five million years ago

Adam Bode, lead researcher and PhD student at ANU, said: "We actually know very little about the evolution of romantic love. Every discovery that tells us about the evolution of romantic love is an important piece of the puzzle that "It's just begun. Romantic love first emerged about five million years ago, when humans diverged from the apes."

Adam Bode said, "We know that the ancient Greeks were very philosophical about it, recognizing it as a wonderful and painful experience. The oldest known poem is actually a love poem from around 2000 BC. was poetry."

Love increases positive emotions in the mind

University of Canberra Dr. Phil Kavanagh has said that research has shown that romantic love changes human behavior as well as emotions. We know the role of oxytocin in romantic love. When we talk to our partner, these waves travel through our nervous system and blood stream."

Kavanagh said that when a person is with someone they love, their body releases the hormone oxytocin as well as dopamine. Both these hormones affect the brain. This makes the person give special importance to his partner. Dopamine is released in our brain during romantic love. "Love activates pathways in the brain associated with positive emotions."
