Danger of Earth Quake,Tectonic plate is breaking into two parts.

Research revealed: Indian tectonic plate is breaking into two parts, danger of earthquake is continuously increasing in the Himalayan region.

The geology beneath the world's tallest mountain may be even more complex than previously thought.  The Himalayas were formed by the collision of the Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates.  This has come to light in the new analysis of scientists.

The Indian tectonic plate is breaking into two parts in the earth's crust.  Due to this, the number of high intensity earthquakes has continuously increased around the Himalayan region.  Due to this activity the height of the Himalayas is also increasing.  Even Tibet can break into two parts due to this.

The geology beneath the world's tallest mountain may be even more complex than previously thought, according to research presented at the annual meeting of the American Geophysical Union.  The Himalayas were formed by the collision of the Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates.  This has come to light in the new analysis of scientists.

Scientists say this

Scientists said that while at some places the lower part of the Indian plate is 200 km deep, at some places it is only 100 km deep.  This shows that cracks have appeared in some parts of the Indian plate.  In 2022, researchers mapped variations in helium bubbles from geothermal springs in the region to locate the boundary where two plates meet in the Himalayas.  He said that its effect will reach the center (core) of the earth.

 What are tectonic plates?

The outer shell of the Earth is made up of large pieces, which are called tectonic plates.  This plate is a huge slab of solid rock.  Tectonic plates are also called lithospheric plates, these plates fit together, but it is not that they are stuck at one place.  Actually, they float on the Earth's mantle.  The mantle is the layer between the Earth's crust and core.
